Hello,
Welcome to Selah Studio.
This is my heart’s offering—a quiet space where art becomes a reflection of what is good, true, and eternal.
Each piece is created to uplift and invite peace, serving as a gentle reminder of the beauty and grace woven into our ordinary days.
About
Hi, I’m Ciadie (pronounced C-80)—a mother, wife, artist, and teacher living in Choteau, Montana.
I work primarily in watercolor and pencil (and beginning to dabble in oils), often creating in the stillness of early mornings or during nap time. My inspiration comes from fleeting moments and everyday blessings—muddy boots by the door, golden light through a window, children’s laughter on the breeze. Through careful layers and delicate detail, I aim to create art that feels warm, luminous, and grounded in love.
I believe beauty has the power to awaken our hearts and point us toward something greater. My hope is that these pieces create space in your life to pause, reflect, and remember the unseen hand that shapes it all.
As Picasso once said, “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” May this work offer just that—a breath, a blessing, and a quiet echo of His goodness.
Background
I grew up in remote Idaho, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and the gentle rhythms of rural life. From a young age, I was drawn to simple beauty and creative expression. After earning a degree in elementary education, I spent over a decade teaching everything from kindergarten to junior high. In 2017, I moved to Montana, married my sweetheart, and began our family.
When our children arrived, I stepped away from teaching and returned to my first passion—art. What started as quiet sketches at the kitchen table has blossomed into a full studio practice and a dream fulfilled. Today, I teach local classes, create monthly art collections, and navigate the delicate balance between motherhood, creativity, and slow living.
The beautiful chaos of raising three little ones can feel overwhelming, but art provides a pause—a chance to slow down and find grounding in what truly matters. By capturing the quiet grace woven into everyday moments, I hope to gently remind others—and myself—of the deeper light and peace that exist even in life’s messiest seasons.
Thank you for being here. Your support means everything.
